When Dané Erwee and Chris Willemse, the owners of this house known as Johannesdal, imagined it, they thought of "something that welcomes: a modern exterior with a farm inside". This extremely creative couple have made a name for themselves through their flower shop, OKASIE. This beautiful home is located in a wine-growing area by Excellence, the picturesque valley of Bathek. I'm loving South Africa more than ever and their way of bringing nature indoors. The attention that was paid to things I would not have thought of, really impresses me. I wish they had more interiors to show!
IDEAS OF THE PROJECTHenri Comrie, the architect, was inspired by Le Corbusier by using walls of white lime, wide spaces, exposed brick, industrial metal, raw concrete ceilings, untreated wood ... that coexist without problems with the local characteristics of the area .
