Coqui Coqui

It started with one room, a small shop and a perfumerie, and then slowly grew, adding one room at a time, making the space feel organic and as ancient as the surrounding ruins. Coqui Coqui Residence and Spa, Tulum’s first boutique hotel, has become synonymous with a certain kind of no-frills luxury getaway since it opened in 2003 on a pristine stretch of beach. Over the years its owners, and former inhabitants, model Nicolas Malleville and his wife, designer Francesca Bonato, have expanded the property to include Malleville’s signature Perfumeria, plus six suites. Coqui Coqui is now selling their wares online. You can find their sweet smelling perfumes and bees wax candles, as well as their signature statement piece — those stunning artisan hand-woven hammocks. If you can't find the color you’re looking for? No worries....just email them and they’ll custom make one for you.

Tulum, Mexico “Travel has to be my biggest passion, and Mexico is one of my favorite places to visit. Between shopping the flea markets and visiting artisans, I always end up shipping something back. When I’m there I stay at Coqui Coqui. Hotel might not be the right word for the property—it feels more personal than that. Small and intimate, it’s the perfect place to recharge.”: Thank you Rachel from Let's Stay Here and 12 of 4 for your photos! [contact-form][contact-field label='Name' type='name' required='1'/][contact-field label='Email' type='email' required='1'/][contact-field label='Website' type='url'/][contact-field label='Comment' type='textarea' required='1'/][/contact-form]
