Rotting 19th Century Italian Estate Turned Boutique Hotel

This 19th century Sicilian farming estate contains, within its ancient stone walls, an Italian mixture of the old and the new, living comfortably side by side. Deserted for years and crumbing to pieces, this beautiful structure was brought back to life in 2009 by the owner Elena Lops and the designers Draga Obradovic and Stefano Guidotti. Take a look at how the buildings and courtyards have been transformed into a contemporary boutique hotel called Dimora delle Balze.
