Nikolas Piper's Home in the Countryside of Spain

In Los Corales de Buelna, a municipality in Cantabria, Spain, sits the holiday retreat for the artist Nikolas Piper who is well known for his furniture / sculpture in iron, wood & scrap. The mansion, which was originally a palace built in 1754, was in a state of ruin when they purchased it 12 years ago and had to be completely rebuilt. To maintain all its charm and integration with the environment, the owners decided to maintain the original architecture and modernize the most important things to make it livable. The old wood & stone mixed with modern art and Piper's furniture makes this a very unique home.
