La Granja Boutique Hotel in the Ibiza Countryside

Take Me Away

Travelers don’t head to Ibiza to spend time indoors. At La Granja Ibiza, the island’s newest boutique hotel, the landscape does not disappoint. Two acres of luxurious Mediterranean gardens (citrus, apple, nectarine, fig and almond trees, as well as herbs, berries, and melons) surround the sprawling estate, which is a converted centuries’-old farmhouse with stone terraces, and an outdoor bar shaded by a huge carob tree. This hotel is a members-only retreat which was once a private residence. Away from the bustling towns and nightlife that define the island, the concept — launched by Design Hotels in collaboration with Friends of a Farmer (who are an artsy agriculture outfit committed to giving back to the land) — features a nine-guestroom farmhouse and freestanding, two-bedroom guesthouse. I want to go there this summer!
