Groovy Modern meets Hollywood Glamour at the Parker Palm Springs
My BF and I did the effortless two-hour drive to Palm Springs yesterday for a one-night getaway together. The Parker Palm Springs Hotel is where we went! This hotel is very commonly recognized for its geometric white walls and bright orange door at the entrance. The former Merv Griffin's Resort and Givenchy Spa property underwent a $27 million reboot back in 2004, adding 13 acres of Jonathan Adler-designed spaces. All of the 144 rooms have a laid-back eclectic vibe with shaggy Moroccan rugs, bold Adler needlepoint pillows, lacquered four-poster beds and retro wall hangings. The restaurants are fantastic! Mister Parker's is a dark seductive restaurant serving bistro style food. Norma's is their 5-Star diner, serving yummy comfort food and breakfast all day (GET THE DONUTS!!!!). The Mini Bar....is a tiny bar just off of the main entrance that has 6 barstools and a super cool ambiance....think 'Mad Men". Lastly, the newest addition is the Wine Bar/Tapas area. It is said to be the 'IN' place to go. Expect accents from all over the globe (@wearetwinset, @datridesigngroup, @fuzereps) with attitudes pumped up with vitamin D. Not kidding....everyone is happy here!
