I am a huge fan of open shelving in the kitchen. They can be a very functional way to have the items you use frequently right at your fingertips and they can also be a great design feature when styled with beautiful dishes and serving pieces. Natural & Reclaimed Wood

Natural wood shelving adds an organic warmth and color to your kitchen. They can look beautiful both stained or natural, or try using reclaimed lumber for a more rustic look.

Under the Range Hood

A shelf or two above your stove seems very practical to me. It would be so handy to have all of your 'go to' spices and oils right in front of you while cooking.

Removing the Cupboard Doors

I love this idea! It's cost efficient, updates your kitchen and is super easy to do. You can wallpaper, paint or even add beadboard paneling to the interior of the cupboard to give it a polished and personalized look.

Remove upper cabinet doors to give a narrow kitchen a sense of openness. Then set off the revealed shelves with a decorative treatment. To do so, remove cabinet doors and fill in holes with wood filler. Sand until smooth, and paint or stain as desired. Apply your desired treatment to the inside after priming the interior walls.:
