My love of Australian architecture and design is something I’m trying to incorporate (copy exactly!) into our Laguna Beach, California beach house. Australian architecture has generally been consistent with architectural trends in the Western world, with some special adaptations to compensate for distinctive Australian climatic and cultural factors. With that being said, I find that the combination of natural elements and modern materials has given them a sense of style that isn’t found as much in the States. The Aussie’s like to bring the feeling of outdoors into the home all year round. These are photos of modern kitchens with the trendy and stylish window splashback. It allows so much light and greenery into the space you have a true feeling of indoor/outdoor living.
